Application Evisa to Visit Kenya

For foreigners who wish to visit Kenya for various reasons either business visits, family visits or tourist visits they can now apply for their visas (Evisa) online. The Evisa must be applied for and approved prior coming into Kenya. The application procedure is detailed below. In addition to this it is worth noting that during this period of Covind-19 pandemic all foreigners must comply with Covid-19 guidelines.

The Process Involves Three Steps

  1. Create an account at evisa.go.ke
  2. Fill the application form and pay
  3. Download the evisa PDF from your account once it is approved this should then be presented to the immigration officer at the port of entry.

Requirements

The requirements that should be attached will be determined by the type of visit intended as indicated below;

Business Visits

  • Invitation letters from company/ invitation letter for business visits
  • Copies of registration certificate of the company
  • National Identification Card for the person executing the letter on behalf of the company
  • Ticket for, to and from

Family Visits

  • Invitation Letter from the family
  • Identity card/Passport/Alien Card/Entry Permit of the Host
  • Ticket for, to and from

Tourist Visit

  • Travel itinerary (Details about places to visit if going as a tourist
  • Hotel bookings.
  • Ticket for, to and from

N/ B For all categories of Application the applicant will be required to also attach;

Clear Passport bio data page

  • Clear coloured photograph; and it shouldn’t be a scan, should not be over 6 months, must show your face, front view with a  plain white background, should be taken in normal street attires – uniforms should not be worn unless it religious attire that are normally worn daily. Further more one should be dressed in a manner that is not your common day to day war of dressing, hairstyles, glasses etc.
  • The Visa processing fee is also nonrefundable and non-completed applications shall be rejected and that also implies that one will have to pay again.
  • The Evisa print out  must be presented to the Immigration officer  at the port of entry
